More Set Pics (Really Cool Ones!)

More pics from Montepulciano. These are a little different and pretty cool! I am assuming that Rob is wearing the 'white shirt' from the scene in the square. Maybe, just maybe he will be losing the shirt for the scenes as written in the book :-) I know it's kind of hard to tell, but to me it looks like Kristen might look a little too good for New Moon Bella. In this part I think she'd be a real mess. Not only had she almost drowned a few days ago, but she ran out the door in record time and flew all the way from Washington State to Italy. Drove through the countryside at a bazillion miles per hour, all the while fearing that she wouldn't be in time to save her True Love!! (Just in case I didn't say it yet today - I can't wait to see this all played out on the big screen)

According to his Twitter, Charlie Bewley has finished his part. Pretty much you can logically infer that if he’s done so is Daniel Cudmore, and quite possibly Dakota Fanning.

On today’s agenda is the Bella dashes across the plaza with 1,500 extras in red cloaks scene. Given the temperatures (over 90 degrees yesterday) we hope they have plenty of water on hand, because those folks in the cloaks are going to be dropping like flies otherwise. Of course, since the weather never cooperates, it was uncharacteristically cloudy this morning.

There are masses of people who have flocked to Montepulciano from all over the world. Barricades are up for the crowds to stand behind. Yesterday the crowds could see the walk through and rehearsal in the main piazza, but today all has been blocked off.

Here's a close-up of the statue. Kinda creepy, but I like it!

If I were to make a photo assumption about this one, I'd bet it's rehearsal and that those people will be carrying the statue through the square for the Festival / Celebration of St Marcus. Notice the water from the fountain in the foreground. I love how it all seems to be coming together!

Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore (Felix and Demtri) dined together. Reports say that they enjoyed their meals peacefully however when they tried to leave they were mobbed by fans.

Multepulciano

There's a lot of news and many pictures coming out of Italy.

From the sounds of things rehearsals and fliming have begun! And it all sounds really, I mean really great! It looks and sounds like they are making Stephenie's story and all the details, come to life as she intended! I hope she will be there for at least part of the filming of the Italy scenes. How stinking exciting this is!

Lots Happening in Montepulciano

As they prepare the shoot scenes for New Moon.....

First we HAVE a fountain!

And now, yes that's right, we HAVE a yellow porsche!!

Reports indicate the sightings of a helicopter flying often over the square and the Mayor (and other important looking people) visiting. They have begun dress rehearsals with some of the extras and are still selecting even more. New Moon is huge for them!! I can only imagine how cool it must be for those who were chosen as extras!

Getting Ready for New Moon in Italy

According to the Twilight Lexicon they are prepping 'Volterra'.

This just in from Twilighters Italia.

“Today there were in Montepulciano some trucks unloading benches and fake gothic statues in the main square, piazza grande. Then all the stuff was carried in the municipality hall.

It is said that the crew took also a red flag and some spears from a near building (since in Montepulciano most of the buildings have colorful flags hanged on the doors).”

New Moon filming in Italy

According to a report on TwilightMOMS, New Moon is scheduled to be filming in the town of Montepulciano from May 25 - 29.

I am glad that they won't be shooting there for too long. Although I am totally psyched about the Volturi and the Italy scenes I was worried that they might spend a bit too much time on those scenes (especially in light of the fabulous casting). And therefore take time away from other parts of the story.
