New Moon Still On Top But Not By Much (Yikes!)

LOS ANGELES - Vampires and werewolves continue to howl at the box office with a $42.5 million weekend for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

The "Twilight" sequel remains No. 1 for a second straight weekend, though it was nearly blind-sided for the top spot by a real-life football drama.

"The Blind Side" had a great second weekend with $40.1 million, coming in at No. 2 just behind "New Moon." The inspirational story of Baltimore Ravens tackle Michael Oher stars Sandra Bullock as a woman whose wealthy family takes in the homeless teen and enrolls him in private school.

While the weekend haul for "New Moon" dropped steeply from the movie's $142.8 million opening, "The Blind Side" actually went up from its $34.1 million first weekend.

Let's not let New Moon slip out of the top spot!!

Wyck Godfrey Talks About The Making of Bella's Cliff Dive

I think it's safe to say it's one of the most important parts of the book and movie - Bella's Cliff Dive. That one moment set off a whole chain of events and well we all know how that ended :-). Twilight Saga Producer Wyck Godfrey talks about how that scene was brought to life in the movie.

NEPA TwilightMoms & New Moon

A group of the NEPA TwilightMoms will be hitting Rodano's around 8 pm on Thursday night before heading to the midnight release of New Moon at RC Theatres in Wilkes-Barre. Stop by if you want to join us for snacks and drinks or just say Hi!!

Then on Sunday...

Some of us are going to see New Moon at Cinemark in the afternoon and heading out eat after the movie for some discussion time. I can't imagine that we'll have much to talk about....Yeah right!! I am sure we will all have lots to say about the movie! Looking forward to seeing/chatting with everyone again!

New Moon Press Screening

New Moon Media Blitz

The Media Blitz for New Moon, which hits theaters in 17 days, 15 hours and 40-something minutes (not that I am counting or anything), is in full force.

Kristen and Taylor spent the weekend in Sao Paulo, Brazil, click here to read about their press conference and for a translation of their interview.

Rob, on the other hand, headed to Japan this weekend.

The three of them are scheduled to make a LOT of appearances the week the movie hits theaters, a few in NY (The Today Show, Regis & Kelly). Anyone planning on heading to the city to catch a glimpse of our favorite actors??

New Moon: "Behind the Scenes with the Wolf Pack" & "Birthday Kiss"

This first video is a behind the scenes look at the Wolf Pack including the CGI. I find this incredibly interesting. And I stinking LOVE the wolf clips at the end, I think they have really done justice to them and brought them to life in an amazing way.

Now for an extended look at the Birthday Kiss. I'm not sure what to say about this except if you're Team Edward turn up your volume and enjoy what you will hear after the cheesey announcer voice. :-) (Note: it seems that Summit has been pulling these down so this video may not be here long)

New Moon TV Spot Shown First on Access Hollywood

I'm starting to lose track of the clips, they're coming out of the woodwork. Frankly I am getting a little concerned. As thrilled as I am to see them, I'm afraid we've seen too much....afraid there's not going to be much to look forward to.

GREAT New Moon Movie Clip Revealed!!!

So a new clip from NEW MOON was shown on ET last night and it was great BUT have you seen the one on iTunes...in HD??? If you have or use iTunes be sure to check it out it is well worth it - really I did a little happy dance when I watched it today! For those of you who may not use iTunes here's a link to the video on YouTube. I am not going to embed it because it definitely is breaking all the copyright laws and I don't want to get into trouble. The quality isn't great, but you'll still get to see it!!

Rotten Tomatoes Talk Chris Weitz

Rachelle Lefevre on Weitz: "Chris is much quieter and calmer anyway, he just has a different style, but also he's come into a world that somebody went through all of that to bring to life. And so I feel like part of the reason he came in maybe a little more quiet was just sort of respect the fact that he didn't just show up and go, 'All right guys. It's Chris Weitz's Twilight now.' He didn't do that at all. He completely respected that somebody else had laid the foundation and he was like, all right, here's where I'm going to take it within the realm of what's already been established. And so it's a different job, you know? It's something that he's executing beautifully because we all really feel both directed and respected in terms of what we've already done. We love him."

Edi & Stephenie Watched New Moon!

Check out what Edi Gathegi tweeted earlier tonight! He has apparently watched the first 'draft' (for lack of a better word lol) of the New Moon movie...with Stephenie Meyer....and he says it is AWESOME!!

Fansite Fridays

The various Twilight Fansites who visited the New Moon set in Vancouver will spend the next five Fridays bringing us their set reports. The sites include Twilight Lexicon, His Golden Eyes, Twilight Source, Twilighters Anonymous, Twilight Moms, Twilight Series Theories.

I will try to post as much of the coverage here as I can.

Comic Con

Well it's that time ... Comic Con. Last year it was HUGE for the Twilight movie, this year it is even Bigger for New Moon! There are lots of reports about fans camping out, stars making their way to the event and lots and lots of new merchandise!

I cannot wait to hear all about (and HOPEFULLY see) the clips that will be shown at the New Moon Panel, which I think is today!!! This should provide us with some brand new clips from the movie!! As soon as I find something I will post it here.

One interesting thing I have seen are the New Moon action figures - they look a lot more like the actors. Check these out from NewMoonMovie.org...
