The Wilkes-Barre (Arena Hub) Barnes & Noble will be hosting a "Twilight and Philosophy" Author Signing & Special Event this weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 pm.
"Twilight and Philosophy" was recently featured in a Twilight Examiner article... Rebecca Housel (a writing and literature professor at Rochester Institute of Technology) and J. Jeremy Wisnewski (an Assistant Professor of Philosophy who also wrote Family Guy and Philosophy: A Cure for the Petarded, The Office and Philosophy: Scenes from the Unexamined Life, X-Men and Philosophy: Astonishing Insight and Uncanny Argument in the Mutant X-Verse, and other academic books) have created Twilight and Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians, and the Pursuit of Immortality. Twilight and Philosophy has just been released in paperback on Amazon.com, and it promises to address questions such as "What can vampires tell us about the meaning of life?" and "Is Bella a feminist?"
The book is available at Barnes & Noble and it sounds like they will be speaking and/or discussing the it. The information that appears on BarnesandNoble.com is included below.
(Note: I have not read this book, there is one review on B&N website and it is positive)
Twilight and Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians, and the Pursuit of Immortality with William Irwin and Rebecca Housel
Author Signing, Special Event
As absorbing as the bestselling Meyer novels themselves, Twilight and Philosophy draws on the wisdom of philosophical heavyweights to answer essential questions about Bella, Edward and their family and friends.

I'm sure they got most of their information from the TwilightMoms' discussion forums! A group of more erudite, articulate women can't be found (coughs humbly).
