Has Newborn Bree Been Cast?

All kinds of online reports have surfaced over the past 24 hours (or so) claiming that Jodelle Ferlan has been cast in Eclipse. Now she has "tweeted" that she has indeed. It assumed that she will be playing the role of Bree, newborn vampire. There has been no official announcement by Summit yet.

A Little Edward Love

Being forever Team Edward, I had to follow up the Jacob/Bella picture with this one from September in the new calendar.

NewMoonMovie.org has posted this pic from the 2010 New Moon calendar. They report that it is of Jacob and Bella after he saves her from the water.

Yowsa - I am afraid of the 'chemistry' we have seen between these two in the New Moon pics and clips. Afraid that they are going to overplay it. I personally, NEVER felt that in New Moon to this much of an extreme. I mean I know Jake had the hots for Bella, but I never felt it was quite so physical. I especially never felt it from Bella. I always only got the friend, maybe love like a brother feeling from her.

The Vampires Return to Vancouver

Slowly but surely the New Moon cast is arriving in Vancouver for rehearsals. Is it wrong to be excited for Eclipse when New Moon hasn't even hit the screen yet?? I guess it depends who you ask .. lol

Bella & Edward's Favorite Book

NewMoonMovie.org is reporting that Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights has gotten a face lift. Below are the new Twilight inspired covers. Notice how the covers say "Bella & Edward's Favorite Book". :-)

Breaking Dawn Lawsuit

As you may have heard, someone is accusing Stephenie Meyer of plagiarizing Breaking Dawn. I suppose that when someone or something has as much success as Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight series you're bound to have stuff like this happen. It's still a shame.

The Twilight Lexicon have done some digging in the matter and have a statement from Stephenie's 'people' here.

Naked Volturi

Earlier this week Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius) did an interview with MTV in which he spoke about a nude scene with Caius, Aro & Marcus. He was sort of joking, but sounded pretty serious. Tonight His Golden Eyes is reporting the Summit / Chris Weitz released the following.

I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked! Jamie (Campbell-Bower) has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’s such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in the book! — fully clothed.

World of Twilight Site Goes Live

The World of Twilight website (previously listed as 'coming soon') has gone live. Visit here.

The top of the page shows each title with information on the movie. When you roll over Twilight is says 'now on dvd', New Moon says '11.20.09', Eclipse says 'in theatres 6.30.10' and Breaking Dawn says 'coming soon'.

Now that's hardly official word on the status, but at least it sounds like Breaking Dawn is a strong possibility.

Twilight Greetings

Hallmark is releasing a whole new line of Twilight inspired cards. They range from Birthday to Halloween and Valentine's Day. Looks like some of the cards are inspired by the Twilight movie while others use images from New Moon.

Actress Rachelle Lefevre Will Be Replaced By Howard In The Role Of Victoria

Los Angeles – July 28, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” said Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. “Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”

Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. Is Merchandising Ruining 'Twilight'?
